The Saturday before Christmas, (December 18, 2010), Evie and I spent the day in Surprise, AZ. While Grandpa Peck took charge of our little Evelyn, Mom and I did a little last minute ho ho hoing! Surprisingly, I didn't go crazy with the crowds and we got some major shopping done. We spent most of our time in Kohls with a quick stop to a bicycle and bead shop. It was fun to hang out with my mama :). That night, was a special treat. My dad was a soloist in his stake's performance of The Messiah. I dressed Evie up in her special Christmas dress (thank you, Aunt Jeanie!) and we went to the church. Little Miss Evie was a champ and slept through most of the singing. My papa was AMAZING!! Not only was his singing beautiful, but he was the best performer out of all the soloists. I was proud! It was a great night listening to beautiful music about The Savior. It gave me goose bumps multiple times. I'm so glad I was able to attend.

I didn't know that your dad sang. That is really cool. Love the dress! Evie looks like a little doll!
That sounds like a great way to celebrate Christmas! When I went to EAC, they used to do a community performance of the Messiah every year, inviting anyone who wanted to come sing to be in the choir. It was pretty cool.
That was a fun day! I couldn't believe our sweet little Evie slept thru the whole concert with hardly a peep- such a good girl!! And, doesn't she look positively adorable in her Christmas dress? You picked a winner Aunt Jeanie!
